The Name
The name impACT³ stands for the strategic direction of entrepreneurial projects, which focus on more than just shareholder value or profit. ACT is written in majuscule to highlight individual action; the superscript ³ represents this impact enhanced "to the power of 3". On the other hand, the term “triple impact” stands for the insight that in the 21st century, the value of economic activities cannot simply be evaluated by the financial bottom line. In fact, value creation should also be rated in social and ecological terms (“triple bottom line”). With respect to the allocation of specific goods or services, market or gorvernment failure gives rise to innovative approaches: Social entrepreneurship aims explicitly at the creation of ”blended value", designed wherever possible in a way that is sustainable in financial terms as well.
