Participating in IMPACT3 Social Entreprenuership competition
impACT³ – the student competition in social entrepreneurship – is an initiative of Jacobs University Bremen in cooperation with Vodafone Foundation Germany. The competition has started on 7th of September in 2009, after a one-week summer school in Bremen, Germany.
Project Envirofitfashion is a group of participants in this competition trying to prove that business may be resposible, social and strong enough to make environmental, social impact on the societies and in the same time generate profit.
In seven-weeks competition period we have reached the audience of 4 234 people from 19 countries in the world. We have organized 4 public events, developed the informational webpage, created and sold a collection of sustainable jewellery. We managed to find 7 partner companies and 3 individuals, cooperated between the group of companies helping them to find the suppliers of sustainable and organic production. We have made a public research about environmental fashion.
We have fund-raised 373 euros, earned 187 euros acting in more than one Europian country. Our income in total reach 568 euros , which is 71 time more than our seed capital – 8 euros. We gave these money as a present for a designer creating sustainable fashion collection as our goal is not to make profit for ourselves, but to make an impact.
